U型潜艇是特指在第一次和第二次世界大战中，德国使用的潜艇。由于德国潜艇的编号都使用德文“Untersee-boot” 也就是“潜艇”的意思（英文为U-boat）的首字母U加数字命名。1945年一艘U-745纳粹潜艇失踪，舰长冰冻的尸体在一处岛屿被发现。近70年来，这艘潜艇的下落依然成谜。 如今经过十多年的辛苦研究和水下探索，一组芬兰潜水队终于解开了这个谜，而在过程中还破解了一个迷思，并发现了一种某些人宣称从未建造过的潜艇。
